The people are empowered to choose among different political parties to form the government, if they are not satisfied with the current one. In most countries in the world democratic system of government is split up into three sections— the legislature, the executive and the judiciary. The legislature amends laws and makes new laws if necessary, the executive puts them into effect and the judiciary makes sure that they are applied fairly.
