Introduction:
Our environment is formed with different kinds of element. They are the air, water, soil etc. When these elements are getting polluted is called environment pollution. The environment we live in is getting polluted day by day. As a result, we are passing days with rude behavior of the nature. It affects much on our existence. We must take necessary steps to save our environment from pollution. If we fail, we will loss our existence.
What:
Air, water, soil etc. are the most important elements of our environment that are polluted in many ways. Our environment is formed two things. One is natural things and the other is man-made things. When physical, chemical, biological abnormal changes are taken place of the environment in a great extent is called environment pollution.
Causes:
We are facing many natural disasters in different parts of the world due to the consequences of environmental pollution. The reality is that there is a silent conflict between nature and man. Sometimes nature becomes more rude and destructive to the creatures. The reason of this is very clear. The main reason of it is environment pollution. We pollute our environment doing unwise activity.
How is polluted:
Our environment is polluted in some ways. Here are described that how is polluted the most common elements of our environment. These are described below.
Pollution of Air:
Air is one of the most important elements of the environment that is polluted by rubbish and toxic industrial waste. If there are no suitable locations to get rid of the refuse, the environment is getting seriously polluted. People make fire in different purposes like cooking food, making bricks, melting tar for road construction etc. We know that fires create smoke and pollute the air. Railway engines and powerhouses are also a huge source of creating smoke. By burning coal and oil they crate smoke. Mills and factories are not responsible for air pollution. It emits a lot of smoke that pollutes the air. Petrol and diesel based vehicles like buses, trucks and cars emit a huge amount of smoke that creates air pollution seriously. Thus our air is becoming polluted day by day.
Pollution of Water:
Water is one of the most important elements of the environment that is also polluted in various ways. By throwing different kinds of wasteful material into water people often pollute this vital element. The using of fertilizers and insecticides in the agricultural fields is not less responsible for water pollution. During rain and floods these poisonous and harmful element wash away and they get mixed with water in rivers, canals and ponds. Mills and factories are also largely responsible for water pollution. Because, they throw a huge amount of industrial poisons and different kinds of chemicals into canals, rivers, and sea. In this way our most important element water is polluted. Some water vehicles like launches, steamers, and big boats also pollute rivers water by throwing human waste.
Pollution of sound:
Sound pollution is another panic to live in peace, calm and serene life. Different kinds of made machines create huge sound that is really unbearable to hear. It irritates human especially children and patients. These disturbing sounds are a cognizable offence. People in the city areas may be faced with health hazards when motor vehicles pass away whistling loudly. The using loud speakers indiscriminately disturb our sleep. Loud sounds may be the cause of heart attack or stroke in some cases. It may affect the mental upbringing of a baby.
Effects:
Environment pollution causes a lot of harm to mankind. It becomes the causes of bronchial injuries, burning sensation in eyes and many other diseases. Different kinds of natural disasters may visit due to environment pollution. Besides, it creates health hazards to a greater extent. So, immediate effective measures should be taken to prevent our environment from pollution.
Greenhouse effect:
Greenhouse effect is a strong cause of our anxiousness. It rises the temperature of the climate of the world. The excess of gas, smoke and other particles is being accumulated at a height in the space. It creates an obstacle for the heat caused by the sun on the earth to be spread in the space. As a result, the heat comes back to heat the water on the surface and the climate. This is called Greenhouse effect. The snow in the poles will gradually melt and the water level of the sea will rise due the Greenhouse effects. This is no doubt a terrific possibility for the world. Excess of industrialization is one of the main causes of Greenhouse effects. Motor vehicles and other steam engines also cause Greenhouse effect. Indiscriminate deforestation throughout the world also is one of the causes to create imbalance in the climate. That is one of the causes of Greenhouse effect.
Global warming:
There are many causes of global warming. Over industrialization is one of the main causes of global warming. The using of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) increases global warming. It is thought carbon dioxide gas is the main culprits for global warming that is produced in huge amount by burning of fossil fuels and forests.
Remedies:
The remedies for environmental pollution are very urgent today. Special measurements must be taken to minimize environment pollution. Special laws must be imposed and people must be enforced to follow the laws to reduce environment pollution. Hope is that some countries have already passed some laws to save the environment from pollution. The observation of The World Environment Day on 5 June is such positive measurement in this regard. A world conference of environment in 1992 from 3-14 June was held in Rio-de-Jeniro among 170 countries that is another positive aspect in this case. Besides, conferences on saving environment are taken place every year.
Conclusion:
We live in our environment. To ensure our save living on earth we must protect our environment from pollution. And it is high time to save our environment from pollution. We must kept in mind that if we do not be conscious about our environment and allow to continue the pollution, our existence would loss in near future. Developed countries of the world also should come forward to assist the affected countries.
